Develops human resources policies, processes and procedures for the organization,
Selects, recruits, and avail appropriately qualified and competent personnel prior to their assignment of duties and activities of the company in line with the HR policy.
Allocates facilities, equipment and infrastructure to ensure organizational operations and its associated support structures achieve safety, security and quality objectives as per the organization’s strategic plans,
Making decisions that affect operational safety and security in accordance with applicable regulations, customer airline requirements and standards
Develops the financial budgets for Human Resources Department and provides the required control, monitoring and evaluation to establish the necessary adjustments,
Provides necessary corrective action emanating from findings and observations established during audits by the authorities, internal audits and customer audits.
Carries out training needs analysis to develop and maintain competence on the basis of continued education and training for organizational personnel.in liaison with departmental heads.
Represents the organization at all labour forums such as Arbitration and Labour court
Ensures labour and industrial relations issues are handled in accordance with the law.
Authorizes all payrolls for payment and ensures timely payment of salaries.
Reviews and authorizes annual and periodic training programs including employee skills development.
Handles all administrative functions of the organization.
Ensures that the facilities are maintained in compliance with health and safety standards.
Minimum Hiring Standards
A relevant degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences or equivalent
A Master degree or post graduate qualification in Human Resources or Business
Administration or related Studies will be an added advantage.
Must be a result – focused person of integrity and able to maintain confidentiality with excellent interpersonal skills.
At least five (5) years of professional experience in Ground Handling or aviation industry, or Human Resources four (4) of which should have been at Managerial level.
Comprehensive knowledge of the general laws and administrative policies governing human Resources practices and procedures.
A thorough knowledge of Labour Act and its Subsidiary Legislation and general knowledge of labour issues in Zimbabwe.
Excellent Analytical, innovative skills with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must be conversant with CAAZ, NSSA, Safety Standards board, Labour laws, IOSA and ISAGO standards.
