Systems Developer

Main Duties

• Analyses system requirements to meet business objectives.
• Develops applications that translates agreed specifications in to a production environment.
• Prepares general and detailed software designs.
• Plans and executes testing and implementation of systems.
• Tests and modify systems to ensure they operate reliably.
• Maintains the system by correcting non-conforming programs.
• Modifies existing programs to meet changing business requirements.
• Researches on new technologies to assist in maintaining efficient systems.
• Establishes project plans and project management guidelines and support their implementation.
• Fault finding, diagnosis and fixing of bugs.
• Develops system documentation and user manuals.
• Trains end users on how to use deployed systems.
• Assists IT manager in developing the section strategy.
• Executes change requests as required by the business

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/IT
• Professional Certification in Database Management, Programming will be an added advantage.
• Candidates should have a background in Oracle Database Management
• At least 2 years post qualification work experience
