Experience Required
Minimum of 2-3 years' relevant experience in procurement or supply chain, with a strong procurement focus.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement Planning & Sourcing
Consolidate purchase requisitions from departments and develop procurement plans in line with budgets and operational needs. •
Source and identify suitable suppliers through requests for quotation (RFQs), tenders, and market research.
Evaluate supplier bids and proposals on price, quality, lead time, and compliance before recommending awards.
Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy of specifications, pricing, and delivery terms.
Supplier & Contract Management
Onboard new suppliers, ensuring due diligence, vetting, and completion of required documentation.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements to secure best value for the company.
Maintain and regularly update the approved supplier database.
Monitor supplier performance and conduct periodic reviews, addressing quality or delivery issues.
Procurement Compliance & Reporting
Ensure all purchasing activity complies with the company's procurement policy and approval procedures.
Maintain complete and accurate procurement records, contracts, and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
Track and report on procurement spend, cost savings, and supplier performance against targets.
Identify cost-reduction and process-improvement opportunities within the procurement cycle.
Supply Chain & Logistics Support
Coordinate the movement of purchased goods and equipment from suppliers to warehouses and retail sites.
Track deliveries and shipments, resolving delays or discrepancies with suppliers and transporters.
Liaise with logistics providers and clearing agents on imports where applicable.
Work with warehouse and retail teams to align procurement activity with stock and demand requirements.
KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Good understanding of procurement processes, tendering, and contract management.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in procurement/inventory software and MS Excel.
High level of integrity and attention to detail
