Financial Management & Reporting
· Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and audit requirements.
· Manage general ledger, trial balance, and all reconciliations (bank, supplier, intercompany, etc.).
· Prepare management accounts and board reports.
· Monitor cash flow and forecast future financial performance.
· Ensure accurate recording of all assets, liabilities, income, and expenditure.
Budgeting & Forecasting
· Lead the annual budgeting and financial planning process.
· Monitor departmental expenditure against budgets and flag variances.
· Work with department heads to ensure financial discipline.
Financial Controls & Compliance
· Develop and enforce internal controls and accounting policies.
· Oversee external and internal audits, ensuring timely completion and corrective actions.
· Ensure tax compliance (VAT, PAYE, income tax).
Treasury & Payments
· Authorize and initiate payments.
· Oversee bank relationships and liquidity management.
· Manage investment or financing arrangements when need be.
Leadership & Supervision
· Supervise accounting and finance support staff.
· Mentor and develop team members for continuous improvement.
Billing & Revenue Management
· Oversee end-to-end billing process — from service activation to invoice generation.
· Ensure timely and accurate billing for all products and services.
· Validate billing data against service delivery reports.
· Ensure accurate VAT and tax treatment on invoices.
· Manage prepaid and postpaid revenue cycles.
Revenue Assurance
· Implement controls to detect and prevent revenue leakage.
· Reconcile system data (CRM, billing, payments) to ensure completeness of revenue.
· Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or anomalies.
· Monitor service disconnections and reconnections for financial accuracy
