Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the overall strategic PR strategy and its effective implementation
- Timeous production of the in-house magazine
- Production of quality material/editorial for print supplements in support of promotions, new store openings, refurbishments and other events
- Effective media and in-house PR staff relations
- Crisis PR and damage limitation as directed by Marketing Manager
- Lobbying NGOs and public/ Government departments for the company's benefit
- Events PR and conferences co-ordination
- Establish channel strategies along with executable associated plans
- Prepare trade promotional plan in designated channels with crucial customers and shoppers
- Managing subordinates key result areas
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree majoring in Communication, Journalism, Marketing or any related subject
- A reputable diploma in public relations
- Good understanding of margin maximizing retail outlet layouts and design
- 5 years experience in a similar capacity
- Clean driver's licence
