Logistics and Distribution Manager

<p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Establishes an efficient and cost effective transport systems for the company by contracting rail and road transporters e.g. the National railways of Zimbabwe on an ongoing basis.</li> <li>Plans and executes the movement of imports and exports into the country as and when necessary.</li> <li>Provides transport services to all Divisions/Departments competitively.</li> <li>Hires out excess transport to non company customers at competitive rates.</li> <li>Prepares consolidated billing schedules for transport services rendered to internal and external services monthly, quarterly and annually.</li> <li>Monitors the repairs and maintenance of all company vehicles.</li> <li>Prepares a consolidated report on vehicle usage, fuel and maintenance for all vehicles including those in regions monthly, quarterly and annually.</li> <li>Ensures proper controls of vehicles and movement of drivers through proper use of log sheets, proper I.T. software system procedures and standing regulations.</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Degree in Logistics, Business Studies or Transport Management</li> <li>A professional qualification in shipping and logistics/transport fleet</li> <li>Experience in a similar position</li> </ul>
