Environmental Practitioner

<p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>To support the company in complying with legislation and living the SHE policy</li> <li>Provide specialist environmental advice in respect of long and short term mining/road/housing plans</li> <li>Handling of environmental-related legal documentation for infrastructure development</li> <li>Assist operations with implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001</li> <li>Compile and submit all legally required licenses and permits</li> <li>Participate in environmental management issues to ensure the optimal utilisation of resources and lowest total cost of ownership</li> <li>Ensure effective environmental risk identification and management at operations</li> <li>Attend meetings and forums to ensure effective corporate governance</li> <li>Liaise with the relevant authorities to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and license conditions</li> <li>Support decision-makers on the implementation of environmental policy and legislation</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>BSc/Diploma in Environmental Management or equivalent</li> <li>At least 5 years of experience in environmental management</li> <li>Sound knowledge of relevant legislation</li> <li>Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001)</li> <li>Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Management</li> </ul>
