Electrician

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance of production plant and machinery, and utility services
• Carry out corrective and breakdown maintenance of plant and machinery
• Carry installation of new equipment
• Conduct root cause analysis
• Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and make timely repairs
• Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards and follows safety requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• A National Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution
• Journeyman class one
• Experience in electronics and automated packaging machines
• Good appreciation of pneumatics
• 4 years apprenticeship training in a manufacturing environment
• Computer literacy and Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
• Knowledge of ISO Standards
• Clean Class 4 driver’s licence
• Good working knowledge of PLCs, Variable Speed Drives, Soft Starters, HMIs ,SCADA Systems
• Knowledge in Automation Systems is an added advantage.
