Electrician

<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Carry out planned maintenance of production plant and machinery, and utility services</li> <li>Carry out corrective and breakdown maintenance of plant and machinery</li> <li>Carry installation of new equipment</li> <li>Conduct root cause analysis</li> <li>Complete required documentation of repairs and service information</li> <li>Troubleshoot electrical problems and make timely repairs</li> <li>Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards and follows safety requirements</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>A National Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution</li> <li>Journeyman class one</li> <li>Experience in electronics and automated packaging machines</li> <li>Good appreciation of pneumatics</li> <li>4 years apprenticeship training in a manufacturing environment</li> <li>Computer literacy and Knowledge of SAP is an advantage</li> <li>Knowledge of ISO Standards</li> <li>Clean Class 4 driver&rsquo;s licence</li> <li>Good working knowledge of PLCs, Variable Speed Drives, Soft Starters, HMIs ,SCADA Systems</li> <li>Knowledge in Automation Systems is an added advantage.</li> </ul>
