Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out planned maintenance of production plant and machinery, and utility services
- Carry out corrective and breakdown maintenance of plant and machinery
- Carry installation of new equipment
- Conduct root cause analysis
- Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and make timely repairs
- Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards and follows safety requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- A National Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution
- Journeyman class one
- Experience in electronics and automated packaging machines
- Good appreciation of pneumatics
- 4 years apprenticeship training in a manufacturing environment
- Computer literacy and Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
- Knowledge of ISO Standards
- Clean Class 4 driver’s licence
- Good working knowledge of PLCs, Variable Speed Drives, Soft Starters, HMIs ,SCADA Systems
- Knowledge in Automation Systems is an added advantage.
