<table style="border-collapse: collapse; width: 643px;" cellspacing="0" align="left"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="height: 109px; width: 172px;"> <p>Job Purpose</p> </td> <td style="height: 109px; width: 471px;"> <p>The incumbent will be responsible for the formulation, development and oversight of the business&rsquo;s corporate strategies and operational excellence in order to support growth objectives while strengthening the business core to develop and maintain a competitive advantage.</p> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="height: 106px; width: 172px;"> <p>Qualifications and Experience</p> </td> <td style="height: 106px; width: 471px;"> <ul> <li>First Degree in Insurance or equivalent</li> <li>Insurance Associateship or equivalent</li> <li>Masters qualification</li> <li>6 years&rsquo; experience in a similar or related environment, with a minimum of 4 years in a Senior Management position.</li> </ul> </td> </tr> <tr> <td style="height: 311px; width: 172px;"> <p>Key Result Areas</p> </td> <td style="height: 311px; width: 471px;"> <ul> <li>Provides strategic and tactical direction in the digitization of new products and/ or existing processes and procedures thereby creating a competitive edge for the short term insurtech business.</li> <li>Provides input into operational strategies, product development, business development practices and communication strategies to ensure value retention</li> <li>Performs effective monitoring of all systems used within the short term insurtech business to ensure mitigation against prolonged downtimes that adversely affect customers</li> <li>Facilitates the development of control mechanisms to mitigate against revenue leakages at new business level, renewals level, claims processing level and recoveries level</li> <li>Collaborates with the Chief Insurance Officer and supports departments to gather input and facilitate the automation of various required reports for the effective management of the short term insurtech business.</li> <li>Defines the road map for the Products and Services relevant to the current market demand, and to the identified future growth areas, as per the Business targets and financial budget.</li> <li>Ensures and approves the Product Road Maps and releases schedules in line with the Product Development Strategy.</li> <li>Development of weekly/quarterly/annual strategic operations reports for the senior strategy management as well as the business&rsquo;s top leadership</li> <li>Develops and updates claims processes and procedures in line with business trends and insights to ensure effective and efficient management of the short term insurtech claims section</li> <li>Develops, updates and monitors adherence to defined processes and procedures within the short term insurtech claims section to mitigate against revenue leakage</li> <li>Develops controls to mitigate against fraud emanating from connivance within the value chain, submission of fraudulent claim documents or inflation of invoices for personal gain</li> <li>Develops monitoring tools to ensure claims are processed and feedback provided to customers on the position of the claim within 72 hours thereby for an exceptional customer experience</li> <li>Develops and establishes processes and procedures to ensure effective Cash Call recovery from Reinsurers and effective efficient Third Party Recovery to ensure revenue assurance.</li> <li>Assures relevance and strategic fit for all new products developed in line with the strategic direction of the business.</li> <li>Tracks the business cases by monitoring and measuring revenues and profitability and taking appropriate action.</li> <li>Manages the overall product mix and the contribution of each product and service to the business while managing the continual product life cycle process and adjusts accordingly.</li> <li>Performs any other relevant duties as may be assigned by the Chief Insurance Officer/MD.</li> </ul> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table>
