Qualifications & Experience:
\r\n\r\nBSc Electrical Engineering Honours Degree
\r\n\r\nExperience in maintenance of process or mining equipment
\r\n\r\nExperience in automated systems and plant
\r\n\r\nExperience in high voltage reticulation, switching and maintenance
\r\n\r\nKnowledge of planned maintenance systems
\r\n\r\nAt least 2 years recognized junior engineering program
\r\n\r\nAt least 5 years operational experience, preferable in a mining/heavy industrial environment
\r\n\r\nProven leadership qualities
\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Specific responsibilities will include:
\r\n\r\nTo enforce minimum standards/parameters to ensure zero harm to employees and the environment by meeting legal and SHEQ regulations/compliance .
\r\n\r\nTo ensure equipment maintenance/efficient management, i.e. equipment availability to ensure production targets are met (a key objective).
\r\n\r\nTo ensure effective project delivery to enable future growth and reach production targets.
\r\n\r\nTo implement effective engineering/cost management processes to enhance the profitability of the company.
\r\n\r\nTo lead a cross-functional team of supervisors and artisans and ensure effective people management methodologies are implemented to attract, retain and develop staff for optimal performance.
\r\n\r\nTo apply relevant engineering expertise to ensure compliance to all engineering standards.
\r\n\r\nTo Implement Contingency Plans to reduce production losses.
