Qualifications & Experience:
BSc Electrical Engineering Honours Degree
Experience in maintenance of process or mining equipment
Experience in automated systems and plant
Experience in high voltage reticulation, switching and maintenance
Knowledge of planned maintenance systems
At least 2 years recognized junior engineering program
At least 5 years operational experience, preferable in a mining/heavy industrial environment
Proven leadership qualities
Specific responsibilities will include:
To enforce minimum standards/parameters to ensure zero harm to employees and the environment by meeting legal and SHEQ regulations/compliance .
To ensure equipment maintenance/efficient management, i.e. equipment availability to ensure production targets are met (a key objective).
To ensure effective project delivery to enable future growth and reach production targets.
To implement effective engineering/cost management processes to enhance the profitability of the company.
To lead a cross-functional team of supervisors and artisans and ensure effective people management methodologies are implemented to attract, retain and develop staff for optimal performance.
To apply relevant engineering expertise to ensure compliance to all engineering standards.
To Implement Contingency Plans to reduce production losses.
