Network Security Analysts
Our client seeks to hire a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill a vacancy of Network Security Analyst that has arisen within their organisation.
The Network security analysts shall be responsible for planning and carrying out security measures to protect an organization's computer networks and systems. They assess information risk and facilitate remediation of identified vulnerabilities with the bank network, systems and applications. They report on findings and recommendations for corrective action.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the organization’s networks for security breaches and investigate a violation when one occurs.
- Configures new security devices and systems guided by the Security & Risk Administrator.
- Maintains firewalls, virtual private networks, web and email security programs, protocols and securities.
- Documents current network architecture including device mapping, VLAN attributes and security protocols.
- Advises the Security & Risk Administrator on any issues pertaining to application security and the enforcement of security policies.
- Documents changes on configurations on the IT security systems making sure this document is up to date.
- Sets up and manages test environments to be used for simulating new technologies before they are implemented.
- Ensures that scheduled security downloads such as system and antivirus updates are successful.
- Tracks and notes the coverage on the deployment of patches and antivirus updates.
- Analyses the behaviour of systems after security changes are made to their environments (impact assessment).

Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate should have:
- Degree in information Technology or Computer Science.
- At least 3 years’ relevant work experience.
- Network security certifications. (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCNP Security).
