<p>Main Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the day to day running of the Boiler house.</li> <li>Oversees all boiler maintenance and servicing being done by contractors, keep written log of all work done. Ensures that statutory inspections and maintenance requirements are adhered to.</li> <li>Maintain strict housekeeping of the boilers and surrounds.</li> <li>Monitors coal stocks and consumption. Prepares report on coal stocks and forwards to the maintenance manager on a weekly basis.</li> <li>Determine and discuss with the Maintenance Manager all staff training requirements.</li> <li>Identifies training needs and conducts on the job training for subordinates and recommends to the manager any external training required.</li> <li>Carries out routine and preventive mechanical maintenance of plant equipment and machinery.</li> <li>Attends to plant breakdowns and trouble shooting. Ensures that repairs are carried out promptly and that the machines are brought back to production with minimal down time.</li> <li>Writes and maintains documents on machine maintenance. Analyses and evaluates historical background of equipment and recommends replacement where necessary.</li> <li>Carries out any machine installations or modifications to enhance productivity</li> <li>Ensures good and safe use of all workshop equipment.</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Class 1 Journeyman</li> <li>At least 2 years experience</li> </ul>
