Duties and Responsibilities
- Use client provided drawings and information to input into MiTek Truss Software to produce accurate designs and quotes in accordance with all relevant standard requirements and specifications with a turnaround of less than 24hrs from receipt of enquiry.
- Ensuring that enquiries together with designs, quotes and client confirmation orders, payments as well as site survey data together with required internal documents and procedures are all properly recorded, tracked, filed and adhered to.
- Generate production worksheets and works orders as relevant for workshop manufacture of trusses and assembly of all required sundry ancillary materials.
- Assist clients with technical advice and expertise on all possible roofing issues, if necessary, on site.
- Conduct site survey including checking, measuring and determining accuracy of original information on which designs, quotes and confirmation order were based and advising superiors and clients of any necessary adjustments.
- Generate A3 site erection and bracing layouts with necessary Truss sections together with relevant associated duplicated bracing details for use on-site by responsible erector.
- Supervise, teach, check and correct the work of subordinate employees and trainees.
- Follow up and track status of quotes while keeping superiors adequately informed.
- Liaise with Production, Invoicing, Dispatch Departments, Superiors and Client on progress status.
- Site Inspections of erected roof to ensure compliance with all standard requirements.
- Ensure smooth and accurate operations pertaining to discussions with clients, design, quotes, pricing, meeting of deadlines, receipt of orders and payments including adequate handling of advance transactions, cost containment, efficiency with integrity to both clients and the company.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Draughtsmanship or equivalent. •
- 5 O’level passes including Mathematics and English (Technical Drawing is an added advantage).
- Basic MiTek Certification is a must.
- 2 years working experience in a MiTek Roof Truss Systems Design and Estimation Office.
- Computer Literacy Certification such as ICDL.
- Valid Light Passenger Vehicle Driving License.
