Product Development Manager

Overall Purpose

Responsible for the development and improvement of products and services. They oversee the product lifecycle from initial concept to launch, and sometimes beyond.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new products or to improve existing ones
• Analyze industry trends and competitor performance to assess market position
• Develop new products or improve existing ones to meet customer needs
• Test products to ensure they meet safety standards and comply with laws and regulations
• Manage the technical development of the product, including budgets and resources
• Communicate with customers, stakeholders, and sales representatives to understand needs and sell the product vision
• Lead cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into successful products
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, subject specialists, and manufacturers to ensure products are fit for purpose

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Commerce Degree.
• 5 years experience in Product/ Business Development.
