The Role

Transportation Management

  • Timeously and safely transports employees to and from work.
  • Timeously and safely transports medical equipment, drugs and medical sundries in line with established protocol.
  • Transport personnel on late night duties and other work emergencies.

 

Vehicle Maintenance

  • Regularly inspect company vehicles for possible defects, damages and other technical or mechanical challenges
  • Clean allocated vehicle within and outside at least twice a week.
  • Refuel vehicles timeously in accordance with standing orders
  • Timely and accurately record company vehicle mileage and fuel consumption rates.
  • Accurately log vehicle trips and capture all routes
  • Checks that vehicle licenses/ permits are up to date.

 

Risk and Compliance

  •  Adhere to vehicle service timeline as per service provider specifications.
  • Adhere to national transport regulations and road rules.
  • Adhere to defensive driving guidelines.

 

The Person

The ideal person should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes:

  •  5 "O" Levels including English and Mathematics.
  • Class 1 and 2 driver’s licenses.
  •  Class 3 an added advantage
  • Valid Defensive Driving Certificate.
  •  2 years’ experience as a driver.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are required
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitasking, able to work under pressure.
