The Role
Transportation Management
- Timeously and safely transports employees to and from work.
- Timeously and safely transports medical equipment, drugs and medical sundries in line with established protocol.
- Transport personnel on late night duties and other work emergencies.
Vehicle Maintenance
- Regularly inspect company vehicles for possible defects, damages and other technical or mechanical challenges
- Clean allocated vehicle within and outside at least twice a week.
- Refuel vehicles timeously in accordance with standing orders
- Timely and accurately record company vehicle mileage and fuel consumption rates.
- Accurately log vehicle trips and capture all routes
- Checks that vehicle licenses/ permits are up to date.
Risk and Compliance
- Adhere to vehicle service timeline as per service provider specifications.
- Adhere to national transport regulations and road rules.
- Adhere to defensive driving guidelines.
The Person
The ideal person should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes:
- 5 "O" Levels including English and Mathematics.
- Class 1 and 2 driver’s licenses.
- Class 3 an added advantage
- Valid Defensive Driving Certificate.
- 2 years’ experience as a driver.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are required
- Good communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitasking, able to work under pressure.
