Milk Supply Development Manager

Main Duties:

• Manage the performance of the team (MSDOs and Vet Officers).
• Provide technical expertise to dairy farmer and farm workers.
• Implement strategies to increase raw milk intake share.
• Implement strategies to improve raw milk quality.
• Write business proposals.
• Ensure all producers have valid milk supply contracts.
• Ensure the maintenance and improvements of milk Quality Premium Schemes.
• Ensure all producers are assisted with queries on test results, rejections, payments, etc.
• Assist producers with heifer loan scheme administration.
• Management of farmer support on input procurement, distribution and payments.
• Advise on appropriate milk development activities including pasture development, silage and hay production.
• Attracting milk new producers including establishing new milk producer groups.
• Liaison with relevant stakeholders in the industry

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a BSC Degree in Agriculture (Animal Sciences).
• MSc in Dairy Science & Technology will be an added advantage.
• An MBA will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience is required at managerial level.
