Project Manager Consultant

Stakeholder Management: Establish solid working relationship with the Board of Trustees, management team, and other key stakeholders. Manage communications and ensure stakeholders are aware of project activities, progress, and exceptions. Advise management and the Board of Trustees on issues that may impact the achievement of project outcomes (including issues of post project requirements such as maintenance). Delivery and Performance: Develop and track through all project plans. Work within set timelines to achieve the Board-approved opening date for the project. Implement approved project plans (including the establishment of milestones) within tolerances set by the Board of Trustees. Liaise with any external suppliers for once off and continuous equipment, drugs and other consumables needs. In conjunction with management, assist in liaising with potential and confirmed project financiers. Advise the Board of Trustees and management of any deviations from the plan. Identify and manage risks so that maximum benefit to the project and its stakeholders is achieved. Monitor and evaluate performance of service providers Procedures: Coordinate the consolidation of all standard operating procedures ahead of project implementation in line with World Health Organisation and Ministry of Health and Child Care standards. Prepare all necessary update reports for Board of Trustees meetings, after liaison with management. Manage budgets, cash flow and obligations to ensure that deliverables are met and payments to contractors and personnel are received on time. Manage and remain accountable for expenditures against the budget (based on accurate financial reports) Qualifications: A University Degree A combination of 2 additional years of relevant professional experience in Project Management, Public Health, Business Administration, Development Studies, or another relevant discipline. A relevant combination of academic credentials and/or industry certifications and qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the university education. A minimum of five years’ experience in a senior consultancy or managerial position
