Compliance Manager

Duties & Responsibilities Designing and implementing programs, policies, and practices to ensure that all business units are in compliance with local regulatory requirements. To track laws and regulations that might affect the organization's policies. To identify hidden risks, arranging employee training, tracking regulatory developments, and drafting and implementing new corporate policies. To prepare compliance reports to present to management. To ensure all activities of the business are carried out within the regulatory framework. To ensure that advice to the business takes account of the business objectives and that he/she demonstrates business acumen, that is to provide solutions that are business-friendly. Advises on potential opportunities to be gained through regulatory change and advise the business not to undertake certain activities if it means the business would be exposed to a level of risk that would be difficult to manage. Perform a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others under him/her To be involved at all levels, including arranging and attending investment committee meetings and reporting to the Board on a regular basis. Monitoring controls & mitigate compliance risk Identify any trends or new risks to the business and advise the Board on whether we need to take any remedial action, which may include any amendments to policy and procedures and/or training and development of the firm’s employees Implement compliance audits that may be undertaken by an external compliance consultant Qualifications & Experiences A bachelor's degree in Risk & Compliance Management At least 5 years of experience in the field ICA Diploma in Compliance Must be prepared to relocate Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically to produce reports to top management
