Finance Manager

<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, </li> <li>Management of departmental associates&rsquo; performance through, inter-alia, coaching and continuous training</li> <li>Track the company&#39;s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement</li> <li>Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company</li> <li>Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports to specific deadlines</li> <li>Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the business unit</li> <li>Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation</li> <li>Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities</li> <li>Implementation and monitoring of effective financial and internal controls within the business unit</li> <li>Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.</li> <li>Liaising with statutory bodies and managing statutory accounts effectively</li> <li>Taking a leading role in the preparation of routine business, accounting and audit reviews</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>Degree in Accounting or Finance</li> <li>MBA/MBL or equivalent is an added advantage</li> <li>Possession of a full professional qualification - ACCA/CIS or equivalent</li> <li>Working knowledge of OPERA and ACCPAC systems</li> <li>Experience in a similar position</li> </ul>
