Assistant IT Manager

Duties and Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of the IT department. Ensuring effective operation of all computer systems in the company. Trouble shooting and resolving Network, Software and Hardware problems. Offer effective and efficient support service to all customers. Implementation and support of Social Media platforms Facilitating effective training of all users on all computer systems. Provision of Website, Newsletter and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) functions. Implementation of Security Policies for all computer systems. Configuration and maintenance of all Servers. This includes Windows and Linux servers. Providing Technical support to all end users. Liaising with upstream and external service providers for all services required. Setting up and installation of office hardware and application software. Facilitating Software amendments/enhancements and development as requested by users. Develop and maintain disaster recovery system. This includes setting up of backup and restore procedures. Running month end procedures on application systems Carrying out administrative work for the department which includes budgets and business plan for the department. Collect, maintain and analyse system and user log files and take appropriate action. Advise the company on the right IT direction to take Supervise and mentor subordinates Develop and coordinate IT project management framework for all projects under implementation Develop and maintain a sound IT Policy Any other duties as assigned by all your superiors. Qualifications and Experience Minimum of A level education qualification with at least two passes in science subjects. Degree in Computer Studies or Information Systems. Minimum of five years of experiencein computer related field Knowledge of Windows and LINUX is an advantage. Working experience of minimum three years in LAN and WAN
