Duties and Responsibilities
- Advise the CEO and Senior Management Team on all matters relating to financial performance and provide guidance on financial strategy
- Implement robust financial systems and developing policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the Bank
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting and planning process
- Control all financial and accountancy matters including month end reports, management accounts, cash flow management, statutory accounts, presentation of management information and KPIs
- Ensure legal and regulatory documentation is filed, and monitoring internal controls and compliance with laws and regulations
- Recommend funding sources for investment programmes and calculate the likely return on investment
- Evaluate the financial potential and risk of Bank’s activities such as investments, expansion and acquisition plans
- Manage the Bank’s liquidity, ensuring that it always has access to cash and sources of credit
- Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers
- Coordinate corporate finance, debt, taxation, equity and acquisitions
- Direct and control finance staff to ensure that they are appropriately motivated
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Accounting and Finance;
- Must be a Chartered Accountant;
- Minimum 5 years of experience at Senior Managerial level.
