Chief Operating Officer

Job Purpose To provide strategic leadership and coordination of the tobacco industry and the technical service division through effective strategic planning, organizing, leading and controlling all the operations of the Division ensuring that the set standards are maintained. Duties and Responsibilities: Participate in the development of the company`s direction and the articulation of a compelling Vision, Mission and strategic objectives Consolidate, develop and oversee the short to long-term business plans for the Division and integrate with the main thrust of TIMB. Articulate the capital requirements informed by resource and support services required Oversee the formulation and compilation of the division’s budget for adequate planning and ensure approval by CEO for incorporation into the main budget. Develop Technical support strategies for the organization ensuring that all technical services operations are modernised so as to attain value Oversee day to day operations plans and procedures, promote company culture and vision to improve business efficiency Acquire feedback from Divisional Heads and various stakeholders on technical issues to ensure all technical requirements have been addressed. Qualifications and Experience Relevant University Degree in Agriculture, Crop science / Botany MBA or any other relevant masters degree is an added advantage 5 years post qualification experience at a senior managerial position is a must
