Warehouse Supervisor

Main Duties

• Supervising the receipt of all packed stock for storage into warehouses
• Mobilising and utilisation of all available warehouse resources
• Ensuring that dispatches of packed stock are done in line with departmental procedures and customer instructions
• Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained at all times in and around warehouses
• Interpreting Shipping instructions and determining load dividends in line with departmental procedures and customer specifications
• Supervising and inspection of loading activities ensuring adherence to procedures and customer instructions
• Preparing for and ensuring all fumigation activities are carried out in line with procedures and safety protocols

Job Knowledge required

• Knowledge of Supply Chain Management best practices
• Knowledge of the tobacco shipment practices

Job Competencies

• Knowledge of MS Office packages and proficiency
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Good written and oral communications skills
• Work with minimum supervision
• Able to work in a team environment

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Supply Chain Management
• A minimum of 3 years Logistics/Dispatch experience in a major exporting company
