SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
- Familiarity with major economic and technological advancement in the aviation field such as but not limited to the commercialization of airports; economic liberalization; airline consolidations and harmonization of air safety regulations.
- Demonstrable experience of organizational structuring, human resource planning and development, including manpower requirement assessments and resource training.
- Working knowledge of Airport Management, Air Transport Management and Aviation Law, Human Resources Management, Engineering, Customer Services or Real Estate Management will be an added advantage.
- Must have notable team leadership skills.
- Must be a goal oriented individual with the ability to work under pressure
- Must have proven experience in carrying out engagements at Government level, conducting meetings and preparing quality, concise reports for the Board and stakeholders.
- Must have the ability to lead and inspire management and staff towards the attainment of organisational goals.
- Must demonstrate a good comprehension of the local, regional and international aviation environment.
- Strong oral and written communication.
- Must be able to initiate and lead organisational change.
- Must demonstrate requisite probity and aptitude to develop and maintain sound relations with critical success partners and stakeholders who are essential to the well-being of the organisation.
- Must be computer literate
- Proven knowledge of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) regulations and Airports Council International (ACI) standards and practices will be an added advantage.
- Proven managerial ability with clean record of service
- Must fully understand airport operations, procedures and developments
- Should have broad organisational awareness
- Must have a broad awareness of the local, regional and international political and security environment
QUALIFICATIONS AND MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

A relevant Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University;

A Master’s Degree in Business Management, Administration, Leadership or any other relevant Master’s Degree from a recognised University is an added advantage;

A professional qualification in Aviation with a bias towards Aviation operations;

At least 6 years of Managerial experience in the Aviation field, of which a minimum of 3 years should have been in Airport Operations;

Must be a citizen of Zimbabwe;
