<p>Auto Electrician</p> <p><em>Auto Electricians install, repair, wire, and maintain electrical components in vehicles.</em></p> <p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p> <p>Auto electricians or automotive electricians concentrate on the electrical parts in motor vehicles.</p> <p>Job description entail installing, repairing, wiring, and maintaining of all electrical components found in different vehicles.</p> <p>They also check what is necessary to bring vehicles up to their best working condition.</p> <p>They may also treat equipment used in mining such as excavators and tractors.</p> <p>Those in this line of work must be technically knowledgeable in the use of equipment and machinery to do the job.</p> <p>They must be familiar with how wires work and how they have to be placed in a vehicle.</p> <p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Undertake electrical repairs on various vehicles.</li> <li>Repair parts and equipment when needed</li> <li>Maintain and repair various kinds of petrol and diesel engine motor vehicles</li> <li>Order for parts and equipment as necessary</li> <li>Liaise with agents and manufacturers on problems in order to achieve an efficient repair</li> <li>Complete all documentation and receipts, including inspection sheets, and applies signatures as appropriate</li> <li>Identify repairs required via unfair wear and tear, and advice the service manager and foreman mechanic</li> <li>Work within a realistic time</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements &ndash; Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities </strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be above 17 years old</li> <li>Must be practically and mechanically oriented</li> <li>Must be able to think logically and clearly</li> <li>Must have self-discipline</li> <li>Must be psychologically and medically fit</li> <li>Must possess good vision and be able to identify different colours</li> <li>Must be reliable and punctual</li> <li>Must be safety conscious, to avoid unnecessary accidents</li> <li>Must have business sense and good judgment</li> <li>Must care about the quality of work to be done and have customer satisfaction in mind.</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualified auto-electrician</p> <p>Experience working with Volvo Fh16 trucks, earthmoving machines and equipment.</p>
