  • Developing a procurement strategy for the Group adopting international best practices
  • Developing/enhancing the procurement governance framework
  • Ensuring that the procurement of goods and services is in line with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (Chapter 22.23).
  • Managing the Procurement of goods and services from reputable suppliers.
  • Developing and reviewing purchasing policies and procedures
  • Establishing appropriate standards to ensure effective provision of best quality goods and services
  • Negotiating business terms with contractors and suppliers
  • Managing the tender process.
  • Providing technical and commercial advice on procurement matters to the ZBFH Group
  • Reviewing and evaluating supplier performance to ensure that the Group gets quality goods and services
  • Approving payment of purchase orders
  • Preparing Group budget for capital expenditure and monitoring compliance with set budget limits
  • Managing staff performance, training and development
  • Responsible for implementing the procurement policy
