Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates and supervises all airport operations to ensure that they run efficiently and sustainably.
- Leads in developing a service model and strategy for airports operations.
- Develops with guidance from the Board and CEO, the airports development master plan, including the execution of such a plan.
- Establishes policies, procedures, and performance standards for airport operations. Ensures compliance with such policies and, standards.
- Ensures compliance with regulations and SARPS as set by the CAAZ and ICAD.
- Ensures adherence to all security standards within airport operations division.
- Develops, reviews, and administers division budgets for airports operations.
- Initiates and conducts negotiation with airlines and prospective tenants and users of the airport facilities.
- Fostering strong relationships with established and potential customers with a view to increasing the value of Airport sales to all aeronautical and commercial customers, concessionaires, tenants and users.
- Responsible for improving the airports image and managing external stakeholders.
- Ensures that security measures are followed, including monitoring surveillance feeds and conducting walkthroughs of the airport to check for potential threats.
Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University;
- A Master’s degree in Business Management, Administration, Leadership or any other relevant Master’s degree from a recognised University;
- A professional qualification in aviation with a bias towards aviation operations;
- 6 years of managerial experience in the aviation field of which a minimum of 3 years must have been in airport operations;
- Must be a citizen of Zimbabwe.
