RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the full fleet management function for the organisation.

Coordinates despatch of all vehicles.

Reports to the General manager – Operations on all vehicle related issues.

Assist in the development of annual fleet  maintenance and capital expenditure budgets.

Closely manage fleet maintenance costs.

Satellite Tracking of vehicles.

Monthly fleet administration reports :-

A) Tracking

B) costs

C) Vehicle usage.

Inspecting vehicles daily , weekly and monthly to ensure vehicles are being looked after by staff members.

Making sure all vehicles are road worthy.

Ensuring company pool vehicle policy is enforced.

 

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have a high level of integrity, honesty

Must be able to work under pressure.

Must be hard work

Clean class 4 driver’s license.

Valid Defensive driving certificate.

Age limit 35 – 40.

Male.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Either a Qualified diesel mechanic or Diesel plant fitter.

Must have served a 5 year apprenticeship with a reputable organisation.

Must have served 5  - 7 years in a management position for a reputable organisation as a fleet manager.

Must have traceable references
