Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Analysing the economy of Zimbabwe and providing appropriate advice to the Organisations Leadership.
- Taking lead role formation of policy recommendations for Stakeholders.
- Liaising with other MBO on economic policy positions and maintaining a database of economic trends.
- Forging close links between the organisation and the Government by liaising with key economic Ministries.
- Coordinating the Organisation’s various Surveys.
- Assisting in the organisations key events.
- Liaising with the IMF, World Bank, AIDB and other key international development partners on the mattes that are of interest to Zimbabwe.
- Providing leadership to employees in the Economics Department.
- Assisting in the Organisations Administration in general.
Minimum Qualifications, Personal Attributes and Experience
- A Master’s degree in Economics
- A strong understanding of both macro and micro economics
- Demonstrated research experience including research design, conducting research and writing research papers and policy briefs for which applicants are required to submit copies of their most recent research papers and policy briefs.
- Knowledge of international economic trends and how they impact on Zimbabwean Industry and ability to demonstrate how Zimbabwean Industry can position itself.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar or comparable position where teamwork ethic is considered vital
- Integrity, Leadership, ability to take initiative, self-management and teamwork are key attributes.
