Overal Job Purpose
 Deputises for and assists the Factory Operations manager in the management of the Processing Plant and Egg Room and integrating quality in production processes.
  - RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  - Receiving of chickens, slaughter, evisceration, packing and freezing
  - Receiving of eggs, grading and packing
  - Allocation of resources to facilitate smooth flow of production
  - Production forecasting
  - Planning for annual shutdowns and inspections
  - Liaising with sales and marketing staff on market requirements
  - Liaising with Broilers and Layers Sections to plan throughput
  - Overseeing the production process
  - Managing performance in all sections and ensuring set targets are met or exceeded.
  - Health and Safety
  - Integrating Total Quality Management into production processes
  - Managing productivity in units per man-hour as per Factory Daily KPI standards
  - Managing and training of staff
  - Ensuring discipline is maintained in the processing plant
  - Managing performance through conducting staff appraisals annually
  - Staff motivation
  - Managing leave
  - Overseeing the production process
  
 QUALIFICATIONS:
 BSc Degree in Food Science,/Production Engineering/ Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from a recognizable Institution
 Minimum of 5 years experience of which 2 years must have been at senior managerial level
