Assistant Maintainence Manager

<p><strong>Overal Job Purpose</strong></p> <p>Deputises for and assists the Factory Operations manager in the management of the Processing Plant and Egg Room and integrating quality in production processes.</p> <ul> <li><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES</strong></li> <li>Receiving of chickens, slaughter, evisceration, packing and freezing</li> <li>Receiving of eggs, grading and packing</li> <li>Allocation of resources to facilitate smooth flow of production</li> <li>Production forecasting</li> <li>Planning for annual shutdowns and inspections</li> <li>Liaising with sales and marketing staff on market requirements</li> <li>Liaising with Broilers and Layers Sections to plan throughput</li> <li>Overseeing the production process</li> <li>Managing performance in all sections and ensuring set targets are met or exceeded.</li> <li>Health and Safety</li> <li>Integrating Total Quality Management into production processes</li> <li>Managing productivity in units per man-hour as per Factory Daily KPI standards</li> <li>Managing and training of staff</li> <li>Ensuring discipline is maintained in the processing plant</li> <li>Managing performance through conducting staff appraisals annually</li> <li>Staff motivation</li> <li>Managing leave</li> <li>Overseeing the production process</li> </ul> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong>:</p> <p>BSc Degree in Food Science,/Production Engineering/ Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from a recognizable Institution</p> <p>Minimum of 5 years experience of which 2 years must have been at senior managerial level</p> <p><strong>Ov</strong></p>
