Mechanical Engineer

<p>All candidates with required qualifications are invited to apply for the position of Mechanical Engineer</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul><br /> <li>Provision of engineering support for all projects at the mine.</li> <br /> <li>Manages the maintenance function of mechanical engineering disciplines.</li> <br /> <li>Ensures equipment is adequately maintained in line with company procedures and maintenance schedules</li> <br /> <li>Ensures set equipment availability/reliability targets are safely met.</li> <br /> <li>Analyses equipment performance parameters and documentation.</li> <br /> <li>Performs assignments using standard practices, techniques, procedures and criteria.</li> <br /> <li>Carries out equipment life cycle costing and recommends new acquisitions or replacements.</li> <br /> <li>Maintains an inventory for critical spares.</li> <br /> <li>Ensures legal compliance to regulations and safety standards.</li> <br /> <br /> <br /> </ul> <p>Qualifications and Experience</p> <ul><br /> <li>Degree in Mechanical Engineering.</li> <br /> <li>A post graduate qualification such as MSc Mining/MBA an added advantage.</li> <br /> <li>A minimum of 5 years experience in a senior managerial role in the mining industry.</li> <br /> <li>Ability to work under pressure and adhere to set time frames and targets.</li> <br /> <br /> <br /> </ul>
