Artisan Auto Electrician/Journeyman

MAIN DUTIES

• Carry out fault finding and diagnosis on motor vehicle electrical systems.
• Repair vehicle electrical faults
• Undertake vehicle and trailer electrical re-wiring.
• Testing and repairing of vehicle starting systems.
• Overhauling of starter motors and alternators.
• Preparing vehicle for VID checking to ensure proper operation of all vehicle electrics.
• Attending to all vehicle electrical breakdowns.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of workshop equipment.
• Submit written vehicle repair job cards after repairs.
• Carry out vehicle pre-trip electrical inspections.
• Supervise trainee artisans and general workshop assistants.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Class One Journeyman
• At Least 3 Years Experience
