Procurement Officer

<p>Main Duties:</p> <p><strong>Planning</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist in the development of specifications for equipment, materials, and services to be purchased</li> <li>Translate sales/production forecasts into efficient raw materials plan.</li> <li>Provides input into supply planning function (lead times) in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase outs.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Supplier identifications &amp; RFQ</strong></p> <ul> <li>Invite, assess, and award/recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals</li> <li>Receives and reviews purchase requisition against the procurement plan and budget</li> <li>Supply market research (understand new entrants)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Order placing &amp; management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Process orders within purchasing authority</li> <li>Expediting of orders &ndash; local and international</li> <li>Prepare and maintain purchasing records, reports</li> </ul> <p><strong>Supplier evaluation </strong></p> <ul> <li>Evaluate supplier capabilities per evaluation procedure.</li> <li>Carrying out periodic supplier performance evaluations (vendor rating &ndash; price, delivery levels, quality)</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Degree in Purchasing or Supply Chain Management, Business Studies/equivalent</li> <li>At Least 2 Years&rsquo; experience in a similar environment</li> <li>CIPS Diploma will be an added advantage</li> </ul>
